Record Time During a Flood Warning

Due to the extreme weather in January and February 2014,  Hampshire County Council were concerned that a school in Winchester would flood and realised the solution to be the installation of a modular school on another site to house the pupils.

MRC took the call on a Tuesday and attended a meeting on site on the Wednesday. Our MRC team began laying the road and installing the buildings on the Thursday.  Our team then worked through the weekend and removed the roadway and completed the work by the following Thursday.  Groundworks were carried out by others and the whole project was completed within 4 weeks.

Our team installed 34 bays,15 classrooms and on completion of the 12 week hire, we relocated all the classrooms in 1 week to Priestlands school, Lymington, where they will remain for 12 months whilst the school has refurbishment work carried out.
