Recently MRC Modular have diversified into the manufacture of traditionally built log cabins. The original enquiry came via a local fishing lake for supply and manufacture of 2 holiday cabins to add to their existing accommodation. However once the cabins had been manufactured and installed the client requested a further cabin to add to their portfolio. The additional cabin was requested to be of M2 standard and accessible for handicapped individuals.
After working closely with the client and once a design was agreed by both parties we started work on the cabin. The cabin like the others featured a live edge larch clad exterior with an eco-tile roof.
The biggest design change came from the main gable end, where a large full height floor to ceiling window was added to allow an uninterrupted view of the lakes and the decking to the front of the cabin has been designed and installed to allow wheel chair access right to water’s edge. With the protection of a “bump” barrier and low gradient ramp this cabin truly is for everyone.
