Cromwell Park Primary

‘Can I say a huge thank you on behalf of all the staff at Cromwell Park for all the work you have undertaken on behalf of CCC to ensure we have had our eighth class constructed and finished in record time! The professionalism and work ethic of yourself and ALL the contractors who worked on this project was of a high standard and most impressive. We have no complaints instead just huge praise. It was a pleasure to work with them all and we have all enjoyed the journey to see the construction of our new classroom.

With your overriding lead on this project we have been able to move our Year 6 children into their new classroom 5 weeks earlier than we all originally planned – so thank you David. I am pleased you were able to accept our request for you to officially open our classroom – we have even named it after you!!

Thank you once again for all your hard work and please do pass on our thanks and praise to all those who played a huge part in our journey over the last 2 months! It has been a wonderful experience!’

Stedham Primary School

Dear Gerald, (Gerald Eagle, Senior Property Surveyor HCC) ‘I would like to say how delighted we are with the look of our new classroom.....there is a photo of it on our website on the events page if you want to have a look at what the children think! Your team of workmen were great - they tried really hard to work with us and the children and governors, staff and parents are very pleased with the quality of their workmanship. Local residents have also commented on how good it looks. Therefore, I am writing to say thank you to yourself and your team and make sure they know they are appreciated!’

Hazel Morley, Head, Stedham School

‘The client was extremely pleased with the unit especially the external finish of the cladding and steni as it matches the main school buildings and also several clients we have sent info brochures out to which show the Mangotsfield unit have been extremely impressed with the quality and look of the unit’.

When the time came to build a new six classroom block (with toilet facilities), the MRC option offered a more cost effective answer than traditional construction.

This unit was manufactured in our factory over a two-week period and then erected on site, made watertight, equipped and ready for use in just two and a half weeks from delivery. In fact, the entire project, from laying concrete foundations to fitting the carpets, took just six weeks.

The walls were pre-finished with vinyl on plasterboard, meaning that there were no ‘wet trades’ on site, which helped speed-up the assembly of the unit considerably. Each module came with doors and double-glazed windows, internal partitioning and lighting ready for use. The thermal insulation and advanced heating and ventilation systems comply fully with current Building Regulations – exactly the same regulations as a traditionally built construction.

All works were carried out by MRC’s own operatives, using our own plant and equipment, and without involving subcontractors.

The result was completion right on schedule – enabling the students to start the new term in style.

Norwich City Football Club

While year-long upgrading work to its existing facilities was in progress, the club required a high specification changing facility – four changing rooms with showers and toilets in a high performance Plastisol finish.

This unit was manufactured in our factory over a two-week period, with one week to install the unit and prepare it for use, and a further three weeks on site for all the completion works. Extra time was taken to install specialised heat-controlled shower units to our client’s high specification. This project was designed by us in collaboration with the football club to ensure their satisfaction.

From start date to possession, then, the work was completed in just eight weeks – another successful project carried out by MRC and its workforce.

Derbyshire County Council, William Allitt School, Swadlincote

A four-classroom music suite with toilet facilities, to include an additional tarmac parking area, and concrete and brick ramps for disabled access – this was the County Council’s demanding brief, made even more demanding by the requirement for completion within eight weeks.

To enable the school to use the music suite whilst the above installation was taking place, we also provided a further four classroom unit on a temporary hire basis – both projects conforming to all relevant building control requirements and providing specialist sound-proofing and wall boarding.

The speed and flexibility of the MRC system enabled us to complete the project on time and to our clients’ satisfaction.
